GUIDE · EXISTING WEBSITES
Improve the site
you already have.
A new website is the most expensive way to fix most search problems, and it can lose the visibility you already have. Many small business sites need clearer pages, correct facts and a few technical fixes, not a new design.
START HERE
Ask what the
rebuild would fix.
List the problems you want solved: customers cannot find the service, the page does not explain the price, calls are not tracked, the site is slow on phones. Most of these can be fixed page by page on the current site.
A rebuild changes many things at once, which also makes it hard to tell later what helped and what hurt.
IMPROVEMENTS THAT DO NOT NEED A REBUILD
Change these first.
- 01
Page titles and descriptions. Name the service and the area so the search result matches what people search for.
- 02
The answer on the page. Rewrite the top of each main service page to answer what, where, for whom, what changes the price and how to book.
- 03
Internal links. Link from the home page and related pages to each main service page with descriptive words.
- 04
Business facts and structured data. Make hours, phone, address or service area consistent everywhere, and describe them in structured data the page can carry.
- 05
Image weight. Resize and compress large photos. It is often the single biggest speed gain on a small site.
- 06
Contact tracking. Record calls, forms and chats by the page they came from, so later improvements can be judged on enquiries, not guesses.
WHEN A REBUILD IS JUSTIFIED
Sometimes the site
really is the problem.
A rebuild makes sense when the platform cannot be edited, you cannot get access to it, it is insecure or unsupported, or it does not work on phones and cannot be fixed. If you do rebuild, keep a list of every current URL and redirect each one to its closest new page, or the search visibility attached to the old pages can be lost. Tendou’s Singapore team explains the process in protecting Google traffic during a rebuild.
HOW TENDOU US WORKS
Collaborator access.
Your site stays yours.
Tendou US works on your existing website through collaborator access you can withdraw at any time. Each month’s agreed work item is a change like the ones above, verified on the live site and recorded in your dashboard. Website rebuilds are not part of the subscription.
PUBLISHED CLIENT RECORDS
Evidence from other markets.
Tendou has published dated client records from separate Singapore and Malaysia engagements. They are not outcomes of a Tendou US subscription and not a forecast for your business. Each record keeps its own question, platform, date and limits.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Improving an existing site.
Can SEO be improved without changing the website design?
Yes. Titles, page content, internal links, structured data, image weight and indexing fixes all improve search readiness without a new design.
Will a new website improve my Google rankings?
Not by itself. A new design can help visitors, but rankings depend on content, technical health and other signals. A rebuild without redirects can reduce visibility.
Which platforms can Tendou US work on?
Tendou US works through collaborator access to the existing website. The access needed depends on the platform and is agreed before work begins.
