GUIDE · THE FIRST 90 DAYS
The first 90 days.
Realistically.
In Google Search Central’s video “How to hire an SEO”, Google says that in most cases an SEO needs four months to a year to help a business implement improvements and then see potential benefit. The first 90 days are about doing the work in the right order and measuring it honestly.
DAYS 1 TO 30
Access, baseline, first fix.
- 01
Agree the priority. One service, one area and a short, fixed set of buyer questions.
- 02
Record the starting point. Search Console clicks, impressions and positions for that service, plus the current answers from ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI and Perplexity to the fixed questions, saved with dates.
- 03
Remove blockers. Indexing errors, broken redirects, missing pages in the sitemap and wrong business facts.
- 04
Make the first page change. Usually the service page that should answer the priority question.
DAYS 31 TO 60
Strengthen the page that matters.
- 01
Improve the answer. What is included, the area, what changes the price and how to book, stated near the top.
- 02
Connect the site. Internal links from the home page and related pages to the priority page.
- 03
Add proof. Real photos, a description of typical work, licences you can show.
- 04
Read the first changes. Check each change about 14 and 28 days after it goes live, against the same questions and equal date windows.
DAYS 61 TO 90
Compare and choose the next priority.
- 01
Compare equal windows. The same number of days before and after, for the same query and page.
- 02
Repeat the same AI questions. Record named, cited and unknown separately. Never swap a question after a poor result.
- 03
Count enquiries by source page. Calls, forms and messages are your own records, not Search Console numbers.
- 04
Decide what is next. Finish the priority if it is not done, or move to the next service or area.
WHAT YOU MAY SEE BY DAY 90
Early signals,
not a verdict.
By day 90, changes should be live, verified and indexed, and impressions for the priority service may have started to move. Clicks and enquiries can take longer and may not move at all if competition is strong. AI answers can change from one check to the next, in either direction.
A fair day-90 review shows what was changed, when it went live, what moved and what did not. A month that looks better than the last can still be a seasonal swing, so compare the same windows and the same questions before drawing a conclusion.
HOW TENDOU US FITS
Capacity sets
the pace.
On Steady, US$99 per month, the first 90 days cover about three agreed work items. On Accelerator, US$199 per month, up to five items a month can move through the list sooner. The order and the measurement are the same on both plans, and neither plan guarantees placement. Compare the plans.
PUBLISHED CLIENT RECORDS
Evidence from other markets.
Tendou has published dated client records from separate Singapore and Malaysia engagements. They are not outcomes of a Tendou US subscription and not a forecast for your business. Each record keeps its own question, platform, date and limits.
COMMON QUESTIONS
SEO timelines.
How long does SEO take to work for a small business?
Google says that in most cases an SEO needs four months to a year to implement improvements and then see potential benefit. Fixes such as indexing can show sooner; competitive service searches usually take longer.
What should be finished in the first month?
An agreed priority, a dated starting point in Search Console and AI answers, removal of indexing blockers and the first change to the priority page.
Can SEO results be guaranteed in 90 days?
No. Search engines and AI platforms decide what they show. What can be guaranteed is the agreed work, verified on the live site, and honest dated reporting.
